Dr. Ralph Rizk
Orthopedic Extremity Surgeon
Dr. Ralph Rizk is an Orthopedic Surgeon who treats both adult and adolescent patients. He practices surgical Orthopedics, specializing in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction (joint replacement). He has a special interest in Robotic Hip and Knee Replacement, Total Shoulder Replacement, Knee Arthroscopy, Shoulder Arthroscopy, Foot and Ankle surgery, hand fractures, and general orthopedic care. He also has extensive training in PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and stem cells.
Dr. Rizk was raised in Jacksonville, FL. He attended The Bolles School during his elementary and high school years. He graduated at the top of his class at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. He then went on to pursue his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He completed his Orthopedic training at Largo Medical Center-NSU COM in Largo, FL.
He then went on to complete his fellowship training at the prestigious Drexel University College of Medicine/Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. During his fellowship, he received extensive training in Robotic Hip and Knee replacement, along with various surgical approaches to the hip, including the Direct Anterior Approach. He was able to train under the pioneers of robotic surgery and Direct Anterior Approach surgery in the state of Pennsylvania. He participated in the most up-to-date surgical techniques in Hip and Knee replacement, including multimodal pain management to decrease patient pain and discomfort after surgery, leading to faster recovery.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
