Vartgez Mansourian, M.D

Vartgez Mansourian, M.D. is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with triple board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Medicine, and Pain Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his internship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Dr. Mansourian then completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital/Moss Rehab Center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Mansourian began his private practice in South Florida in 1992, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care for stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, musculoskeletal conditions, and limb loss. He also offered pain management with interventional procedures, electrodiagnostics, prosthetics, and orthotics. During this time, he served as Medical Director of the outpatient stroke program and Chief of Staff at Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital, and volunteered as an advisor for the Post-Polio Society in Florida.
Dr. Mansourian is recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Florida and Tennessee and was nominated for the Frist Humanitarian Award in 2013. His publications include a chapter titled “Stroke in Young Adults” in the Essentials of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Fourth Edition by Walter R. Frontera, M.D.
Currently, Dr. Mansourian serves as Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and as Medical Director of the Stroke Rehabilitation Program at Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital. His research focuses on vitamin B1 deficiency in inpatient stroke populations, and he is passionate about improving stroke treatment and prevention through innovative rehabilitation techniques. Dr. Mansourian is also dedicated to educating residents, medical students, and healthcare providers through teaching, grand rounds, public speaking, and poster presentations.
